I like the Firestone Wideoval, but can't speak to their longevity yet. Good dry performance, solid in the rain. Reasonably priced.

I've heard good things about the Michelin Pilot Sport series, but they're pricy.

My mate has Toyo Proxes on his Mustang, R888s in the summer, and some All-season Proxes for the winter (California winter, so no snow)

Continental seemed pretty costly, but not as well-reviewed as the Michelins.

I'll always say a Michelin of some sort. Personally I rock Michelin Pilot A/S 3's (225/40/R18) on the GLI year round. amazing tire, and does the job very well.

Michelin Pilot Sports are phenomenal. I used to have a set on my 944 (225/55R15)

Toyo Proxes are also pretty good.

But really anything by Continental is amazing. I've been through so many different Conti tires on so many different vehicles. Nothing ever beat them.

Either Michelin Pilot Sport A/S3's or Continental Extreme Contact DWS's. Many people I know run DWS's, myself included, and love them. The Michelins might be a bit better but can be quite a bit more expensive.

Toyo's and Falken's are garbage. No traction, often wear unevenly, get even worse if damp.

Hankook's wear reasonably well but don't have the kind of traction you would want with that amount of power.

Bridgestone's are hit or miss. G019 Grid's suck, RE970's are decent, RE760's are quite good but only when warm and dry.

Firestone's are surprisingly decent for a cheap-ish tire. Tend to have lower tread life, but grip fairly well and usually wear evenly.

Pirelli is seriously overpriced for what you get. Don't waste your money.

Dunlop can do great track tires, but in not a fan of their street tires. That's not to say they're necessarily bad, but you can usually find better for the money. A little overpriced for their performance, but not near as much as Pirelli.

Goodyear can be quite good. They have a lot of offerings and I don't really have any specific bad things to say about them. But they don't generally perform as well as Michelin in my opinion.

That's as far as I will go, my first hand tire experience gets a little iffy with other brands because I just don't see them that often. Hope that helps.

I really like my Bridgestone RE-11s. I've heard of people getting 20k out of them on my two ton car. I also liked my g-Force Sports. I would like to try the Continental DW sometime.

I run Yokohama Advan AD08s, Lots of compromise on price and longevity for quality :)

...but seriously you can't go wrong with pilot sports on a street car.

I have Falken Ziex ZE-912s on my 530i. Quiet, lasted a long time (nearly 10000 miles, and I even did donuts once), only downside being that they aren't very cheap. They're also more of a summer tire that is good on rain than an all-season. (They're have no traction on snow and ice)

Firestone Wide Ovals are the worst tires I've ever used. Seriously, I liked cheapo no-name low rolling resistance tires over them. No grip, the sidewall's too soft, and it doesn't wear terribly well. They rode well and were quiet I guess, but I never got into a car after a tire change and felt a change so dramatic, and I've switched from long-dead Primewell all seasons to Direzza ZII*s on my MR2. That wasn't even as dramatic of a change as going from average normal who-cares all seasons to the Firestones. I thought that the tires were underinflated when I first tried to pull away in them because they were so shitty.

Oh dang, ask and you shall receive.

The previous owner put toyo proxies on but I'm gonna look into continentals, Michelin if I can. I got a bit of research ahead of me. I've done my research on motorcycle tires but I'm finding that brands and tires don't translate to car tires (rocking perilli angel gt's)

They are a bit soft in the sidewall, but I don't especially mind.

I had the pilot AS plus and they started to grain and chunk away long before they should have.

I really like my current Michelin Pilot Sports and I have had excellent luck with Michelins in the past. I've had Goodyear Eagles which were nice - sticky but didn't last long and kind of loud. I've had two sets of Conti DWS's that couldn't be balanced worth a damn.. but otherwise they were ok.
